LUCIE (she/her)
Franco-Vietnamese from immigrant parents, Lucie is originally from Paris but has never forgotten her Asian roots. Having traveled extensively and completed part of her studies in Boston, she has been in Montreal for 3 years in search of new adventures. Lucie worked in advertising agencies and for the Parisian and Quebecois media and has always been attracted to the worlds of communication and advertising. From an early age, she has been involved in multiple fields of activity, from music (piano, guitar, and singing) to sports (spinning, running, yoga and fitness). Lucie is a very curious and energetic person who puts people at the centre of her concerns and values, and who shares her ideas by creating community projects and encouraging those around her to love each other.
What is the most important detail in your practice?
"Never forget where you come from": this is a phrase from my mother that resonates a lot with me. It may be a detail to others, but my ethnicity and my origins define me and make me who I am today. The values that I support, the fights that I lead, and my vision of the world are built around my cultural background. Being part of a racial minority has long seemed like a weakness to me, but today has turned into a great pride. This important detail of my practice allows me today to have confidence in myself, to dare, and to seize opportunities to accomplish beautiful things.
