OLIVIA K. (she/her)
Olivia Khoury is a Montreal-born singer-songwriter and interdisciplinary artist, revolving around dance and music. Grounded in equal parts indie, jazz, and folk influences, Olivia’s sound defies easy categorization—ethereal, highly produced soundscapes converse with earthy acoustics. In March 2023, she released her bilingual EP, "Portraits," inviting listeners to contemplate six sonic portraits, authentically showcasing elements of her vast influences, from pop to jazz. This first EP was awarded Jazz EP of the year at the G.A.M.I.Q. in 2023.
What inspires you the most from your practice?
What inspires me the most is connecting with myself and others, especially when performing live on stage. There's a spontaneity and pleasure in being in the moment and sharing it with artists and the public.
As a dancer, I particularly find inspiration not only from the music but when moving with others, finding rhythm, connection, and unity. As a model, I find pleasure in the magic that happens when connecting with the creative team and improvising on set.
