ORNELLA (they/them)
Ornella is a Caribbean non-binary filmmaker and entrepreneur. Fashion has always been a huge part of their life. As a kid, they started to understand very early that, in other people’s eyes, what you wear defines who you are. Ever since then, fashion has been an opportunity for them to affirm their true self and to show the world who they are. They celebrate their uniqueness through modelling, and they model proudly as a reminder that there is a place for every type of beauty in fashion.
What inspires you the most from your practice?
I started modelling in 2022, when I want something I go for it. It happened only when I was comfortable enough with how I looked. I inspire myself everytime that I get out of my comfort zone. For me, modelling is a way to discover myself over and over again, as a human and as an artist. It's something that I do for myself first.
